Camp Hope

Camp Hope will celebrate its 35th anniversary by inviting all current and former Camp Hope campers, families of campers, and volunteers to a special event at the Camp Aldrich facilities in Barton County. The anniversary celebration will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 1-4 p.m.
Camp Hope is a free week-long summer camp for Kansas area children and teens ages 5 through 17 who have or have had cancer. A day camp is also offered for children age 4 and for those unable to attend the full week of camp.
Camp Hope is unique in that it has a fully functional, 24-hour on-site medical team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and mental health specialists to administer routine chemotherapy, arrange for blood counts, handle medical emergencies, and adjust any program to campers’ needs.
Camp Hope also provides free bus transportation from Wichita, Kansas City and Topeka. Camp Hope is accredited by the American Camp Association.
Camp Hope is sponsored by Camp Hope Heartland, a non-profit whose goal is to improve the health of children and adolescents with cancer. More information is available about Camp Hope on their website camphopeheartland.com or by emailing camphopeks@gmail.com.
