Everyone likes to say that when you’re really sick or nauseated, it’s best to give in and just let nature take its vomitus course.
I say, nay. I’ve been through stomach bugs, mild food poisoning and ill-conceived rides on roller coasters where I’ve thoroughly wanted to yak, but the idea of dealing with upchuck was so displeasing, I just rode out the yurpy wave. This is not medical advice, btw. This is just my own aversion to barfing that gave me a streak from 11 years old to 27 without needing to hug the porcelain thrown.
That being said, I’ve never been pregnant. From what I’ve been told (and there are horror stories shared at every baby shower/first birthday/random lunch), there’s nothing quite like first trimester morning sickness.
Because the husband is always able to laugh about these kinds of things, D.J. Anderson took to YouTube to share a video of his toddler son doing a dry reenactment of his mommy’s morning misery.
The 1-year-old does a very convincing job, and hopefully mom was able to giggle despite being green.
Here’s hoping her illness went away quickly! What’s your best morning sickness story?
