Special to 530News –
It was a stunt. But it was an impressive stunt. Jaren “The Monster” Grob somehow talked Great Bend Middle School Principal David Reiser
into taking one for the team. The inline skater flew upside down over Reiser and literally gave him a high five to the delight of a gym full of middle-school students.
Grob was part of the Lone Star Action Sports team that wowed the crowd during a recent assembly. The entertainment was provided as a reward for a successful GBMS fundraiser.
Students who sold at least two items attended the show. Students who sold 15 or more items also were treated to a special meet and greet and photo op.
More than 180 students met the goal and reaped the reward.
The Lone Star Action Sports team performed stunts on inline skates and BMX bikes, but they also carried an important message. They delivered relevant messages to the young teenagers on topics ranging from wearing protective gear while on skates and bikes, to staying away from drugs and working hard in school.
Video of the stunt with Reiser can be viewed on the GBMS Facebook page.
